The artist placed a silver mat on the ground and a stick beside it. With slow and measured movements, he sat in a lotus position and closed his eyes, entering a state of deep concentration. The crowd began to gather, curious to see what would happen next.

Suddenly, to everyone’s astonishment, the artist began to levitate. With his legs crossed and hands in a meditation position, he appeared to float in the air, supported only by the wooden stick. The crowd murmured in surprise and admiration. Children pointed, adults whispered theories, and smartphones captured the incredible moment.
The phenomenon described is a common trick among street artists known as “Yogi Levitation”. At first glance, it seems that the artist is floating in the air, usually supported only by a stick or a similar object.
In reality, it is an illusion trick. The artist uses a skillfully hidden support structure. Usually, this structure consists of a steel platform that is anchored to the ground and extends to a hidden seat. The stick or object that the artist appears to be leaning on is actually an essential part of the support structure, usually a steel rod that runs along the artist’s sleeve, connecting the seat to the base on the ground.
